GLASGOW — Rangers have been drawn against Aberdeen in the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup, while Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian will meet in an Edinburgh derby, with both ties scheduled for Hampden Park on the weekend of 31 October-1 November.

Rangers booked their place in the last four with a comprehensive victory over Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday. The Ibrox side last won the competition in the 2023-24 season when they beat Aberdeen 1-0 in the final, and will now face the same opponents for a place in this year's final. Aberdeen advanced after knocking out Kilmarnock on penalties.

In the other quarter-final ties, Hibernian beat League 1 side Ross County 3-0 and Derek McInnes' Hearts beat Stenhousemuir by the same 3-0 scoreline to set up the capital showdown at the national stadium.

The draw guarantees another Edinburgh derby after Hearts won the Scottish Premiership meeting 3-1 at Easter Road earlier this season. Both semi-finals will be played at Hampden Park as the four remaining sides chase a spot in the final.
