MUNICH — Harry Kane has shattered the Bundesliga record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals, achieving the milestone in just 98 league appearances during Bayern Munich’s 7-0 victory over Union Berlin. The England captain surpassed the previous record held by Cologne’s Dieter Müller, who required 129 matches to reach the century mark in 1977.
Kane secured the record by converting a 39th-minute penalty before adding his 101st league goal with a header from a Michael Olise cross early in the second half. The dominant win propelled Bayern Munich to the top of the Bundesliga table. "I’m very proud to have now scored 100 and 101 Bundesliga goals. I haven’t been around that long. I’ve loved every second of it," Kane said to Sky Germany.
The match also featured a hat-trick from Michael Olise and a goal from Jamal Musiala. Since joining the club in 2023, Kane has maintained a scoring rate of one goal every 78.5 minutes, totaling 152 goals in 154 appearances across all competitions. "I just want to thank the team, the club, the coach, and the staff – everyone who has helped me achieve this," Kane added.
