PHILADELPHIA — The Los Angeles Rams erased a sluggish start to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20 at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, finding life on their final two drives after trailing for the first 53 minutes in dank, damp conditions. While the offense earned the postgame attention, it was a smothering defensive performance that kept Los Angeles within striking distance.

Los Angeles mixed seven different players in the box and along the line of scrimmage with a myriad of pre-snap looks to keep quarterback Jalen Hurts off balance. The Rams blitzed on more than 60 percent of snaps, generating pressure on 13 of 18 blitzes and allowing just five completions on 16 passes in those situations. Hurts finished 12 of 27 for 93 yards gross with only two completions for 10 yards in the second half, and Los Angeles blitzed on every third down until Philadelphia's final possession as the Eagles went 0-for-12 on third down.

Up front, Kobie Turner returned to a 70-plus percent play rate and was a handful for the Eagles offensive line, while Braden Fiske bounced back from a tough game against Denver with seven pressures and a quarterback hit in his highest snap count since the middle of last season. Poona Ford (26 snaps, 43%) and Tyler Davis (22, 36%) combined for five tackles as part of a front that held Philadelphia to 104 rushing yards on 27 attempts, with Larrell Murchison (12, 20%) and Ty Hamilton (11, 18%) rotating in together as early as the first quarter. Byron Young stacked six tackles, two for loss, 2.5 sacks, three quarterback hits and a forced fumble, moving past Leonard Floyd (29) and James Hall (30) to tie Reggie Doss at 31 on the Rams all-time sack list and tying London Fletcher (35) for 12th in tackles for loss. Kamren Kinchens added a half sack, a quarterback hit and a pass breakup as a blitzer in dime personnel, which Los Angeles has used on more than 36 percent of snaps this season.

The secondary was anchored by Quentin Lake, who has played every defensive snap in 2026 and lined up at base safety on 49.6% of snaps and off-ball linebacker on 35.2% after playing primarily STAR last season, and Josh Wallace, who played all 61 snaps (100%) alongside Emmanuel Forbes (21, 34%) as the pass rush kept Philadelphia underneath. On offense, Matthew Stafford delivered a Jekyll-and-Hyde outing, going 12 of 21 for 120 yards with two interceptions in the first half before going 10 of 14 on the final two drives to lead the comeback while working from shotgun on more than two-thirds of snaps. Kyren Williams scored two touchdowns to reach 48 for his career, tying Henry Ellard for eighth on the Rams all-time list, and added 10 catches, while special teams struggled as Harrison Mevis missed a field goal and sent a fourth-quarter kickoff out of bounds.

The win followed Rams Edge Eagles 24-20 as Injuries Stall Philadelphia Identity and showed how Los Angeles can win when the offense stalls, with pressure and third-down dominance covering for early turnovers and sluggish returns.
