ATLANTA — The Baltimore Ravens erased an eight-point deficit and stormed back on the road to beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime in Week 5. Baltimore forced overtime with a game-tying touchdown drive in the fourth quarter and then took the lead with another touchdown in the extra period to secure the comeback victory in Atlanta.
Tyler Huntley delivered when it mattered most in relief of Lamar Jackson, going a perfect 12-of-12 on the final two drives. He capped the game-tying march with a back-shoulder touchdown throw and finished the overtime winner with a tough quarterback sneak. Huntley finished 24-of-32 for 201 yards and two touchdowns with 20 rushing yards and a rushing score, and he did not commit a turnover after an uneven start.
Baltimore ran for over 200 yards at 5.9 yards per carry behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. Henry grinded out 102 yards with a long of 11 and added an 18-yard receiving touchdown on a screen, while Hill exploded for 73 yards on just four carries, including a 47-yard burst lined up at fullback. Zay Flowers led the team with eight catches for 66 scrimmage yards and Rashod Bateman added five catches for 62 yards, with the duo combining for eight receptions on the final two drives. Devontez Walker hauled in the game-tying touchdown on a back-shoulder catch. Mark Andrews had a forgettable night with a dropped wide-open pass at the goal line, a fumble returned for a Falcons touchdown and a missed two-point conversion in the third quarter, though he added a couple late first-down grabs. Josh Cuevas had a season-high two catches for 26 yards, while Matthew Hibner was not targeted after exiting early with a hand injury before returning in the second half.
The offensive line surrendered four sacks and eight quarterback hits as Huntley was flushed from the pocket often in the first half, but the unit settled in pass protection and generated push in the run game. Center Vega Ioane had some low snaps but was strong as a blocker, and the group cut down on penalties. Defensively, Baltimore limited Bijan Robinson to 86 yards on 17 carries (5.1 yards per carry), with much of his production coming on two long runs. Calais Campbell had a tackle for loss, while Nnamdi Madubuike and Travis Jones each recorded a quarterback hit on Michael Penix Jr.
Mike Green continued his strong stretch with a sack, a quarterback hit and two tackles for loss while setting the edge against the run, and Tavius Robinson posted six tackles with a sack, quarterback hit, pass defense and tackle for loss. Ethan Burke added three tackles with Hendrickson sidelined. Trenton Simpson had seven tackles with a sack, tackle for loss and quarterback hit, while Roquan Smith finished second on the team with eight tackles and Teddye Buchanan added two. In the secondary, Drake London burned Baltimore for 118 yards on seven catches, mostly against zone, and Jahan Dotson added a 36-yard catch behind Nate Wiggins. Wiggins had a tackle for loss, Marlon Humphrey delivered a clutch quarterback hit on a play-action pass to force an incompletion, and Chandler Rivers had a costly missed tackle on a third-down throw in the flat. Malaki Starks led Baltimore with 10 tackles and two tackles for loss, and Kyle Hamilton sealed the win with an overtime interception after reading Penix's eyes, finishing with six tackles and a pass defense after briefly exiting with an injury and returning.
