LONDON — The Philadelphia Eagles will be severely short-handed for their Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, ruling five players out on Friday's final injury report, including star running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

Barkley missed practice all week with a hamstring injury and will sit alongside Smith, who will miss his second straight game with a hamstring issue, and Hollywood Brown, who is out with an ankle injury. With Barkley sidelined and Tank Bigsby on injured reserve, Philadelphia is down to three healthy running backs on the active roster — Will Shipley, Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele — with Pierce and Steele called up from the practice squad this week. At receiver, the Eagles will have five available — Dontayvion Wicks, Darius Cooper, Makai Lemon, Elijah Moore and Britain Covey — with Wicks expected to play despite a hamstring injury that limited him Thursday and Friday.

Offensive lineman Drew Kendall (knee) and safety Marcus Epps (groin) were also ruled out, with Epps missing his second consecutive game. Kendall's absence leaves Jake Majors, a 2025 undrafted rookie free agent who has never played in a regular-season game, in line to start at center after being called up from the practice squad. Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard is listed as questionable with an ankle injury suffered against the Rams; he did not practice all week but said he is day-to-day and woke up feeling better Friday morning.

Several key Eagles were listed without a game status and are expected to play, including quarterback Jalen Hurts (calf), who was a full participant Friday despite being a new addition to the report, tight end Dallas Goedert, who returns after missing two games, cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (knee), linebacker Zack Baun (concussion), linebacker Jihaad Campbell (knee), tackle Fred Johnson, tight end E.J. Jenkins (toe) and defensive end A.J. Epenesa (back). Head coach Nick Sirianni praised Wicks' toughness Friday, while defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Campbell's playing time could be managed to get Jeremiah Trotter Jr. more involved.

Jacksonville ruled depth cornerback Jaylon Jones out and starting safety Eric Murray doubtful. Philadelphia also has seven players on injured reserve, including Jakorian Bennett, Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers, who are currently eligible to return, Landon Dickerson (eligible after Week 5) and Bigsby (eligible after Week 8), while Andre' Sam and Johnny Wilson are out for the season.
