PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Eagles leading receiver DeVonta Smith is "legitimately questionable" to play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 due to a hamstring injury, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The update comes as Philadelphia looks to rebound from a Week 3 loss ahead of Sunday's 1:00 PM kickoff.

Garafolo's characterization is not the same as an official questionable designation on the Eagles' final injury report. Philadelphia held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice on Wednesday and issued an estimated injury report listing Smith as did not participate. That marks a shift from last week, when Smith was DNP on Thursday ahead of the Chicago Bears game before being upgraded to limited on Friday and full go on Saturday. He seemingly did not participate again on Wednesday, and if he fails to participate on Friday, it is hard to envision him suiting up on Sunday since players who don't practice typically don't play.

The potential absence would leave a major void. Smith has accounted for 33% of Philadelphia's targets, 34% of receptions, 38% of receiving yards, 20% of receiving touchdowns and 36% of receiving first downs this season. The Eagles are already without top tight end Dallas Goedert, and Hollywood Brown has also missed practices this week. The healthy receivers currently available are Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore and Britain Covey, with Xavier Gipson on the practice squad.

Philadelphia could find some relief in the matchup. The Rams are dealing with injury issues in their secondary, with starting cornerback Jaylen Watson expected to miss this week's game. Smith's status will continue to be monitored through Friday's practice and the final injury report.
