LAS VEGAS — Only three teams remain unbeaten after NFL Week 4, with the Kansas City Chiefs holding on for a 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Las Vegas and the San Francisco 49ers beating the Denver Broncos 24-14 in San Francisco to move to 4-0 alongside the Minnesota Vikings, who edged the Miami Dolphins 15-10 in Minneapolis. Sunday's slate opened with the Indianapolis Colts beating the Washington Commanders in the first of three London games, while two more perfect starts were halted.

Kansas City has dominated the rivalry in recent years, but Las Vegas pushed the Chiefs throughout after winning only three games last season. The Raiders led 13-10 heading into the final quarter, which featured three lead changes, before the turning point arrived when new running back Kenneth Walker scored two touchdowns in 19 seconds and Kansas City regained possession immediately by forcing a fumble on the kickoff return. Brock Bowers pulled Las Vegas within three and the Raiders stayed alive until the final play, when Kirk Cousins was tackled as he threw and his pass was intercepted. Walker finished with 177 yards from 22 carries, while Tyquan Thornton added two touchdowns and 111 receiving yards. The Chiefs, who missed last season's playoffs, next face the Los Angeles Chargers, who fell to 0-4 after a 30-23 loss to defending champions the Seattle Seahawks.

San Francisco and Minnesota also improved to 4-0. The 49ers were tied 3-3 with Denver until late in the third quarter before Christian McCaffrey's fourth-quarter touchdown created breathing space. Jaylen Waddle replied for the Broncos, who had upset Super Bowl favourites the Los Angeles Rams last week, but George Kittle sealed the 24-14 win on a huge catch-and-run down the middle. While Cousins and Brock Purdy share the league lead with 11 touchdown passes, Purdy has been intercepted only once and has not been sacked in four games. The Vikings ground out a 15-10 win over Miami with Will Reichard kicking five field goals.

The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams avoided dropping to 1-3 with big road wins. Drake Maye, benched during last week's blowout loss at Jacksonville after throwing six interceptions and one touchdown pass in the first three games following eight interceptions in the 2025 regular season, responded at the unbeaten Buffalo Bills. After Josh Allen restored Buffalo's lead with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman with four minutes left, Efton Chism made a superb one-handed catch in the end zone to put New England back in front before an interception of Allen clinched a 29-26 win in Buffalo, with Maye passing for three touchdowns and 269 yards. In Philadelphia, the Rams trailed the Eagles 20-10 at halftime after two Darius Cooper touchdowns, but Kyren Williams rushed for two touchdowns in the final four minutes to claim a 24-20 win. Puka Nacua finished with 125 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Philadelphia lost DeVonta Smith (hamstring) before the game alongside Dallas Goedert (knee) and saw Saquon Barkley exit early with a hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jacksonville beat the Cincinnati Bengals 22-17 for back-to-back wins.

Elsewhere, Dak Prescott led Dallas on an 11-play, 74-yard game-winning drive to beat Houston 34-30 in Houston after the Texans led 23-13 on Nico Collins' second score and 30-27 with two minutes left. CeeDee Lamb caught the winner and set a career high with 17 receptions for 189 yards to lead the NFL with 498 yards, while Javonte Williams rushed for three touchdowns as Dallas moved to 2-2. Jameis Winston, filling in for injured Jaxson Dart, threw three touchdowns and two interceptions in the New York Giants' 36-24 home win over the Arizona Cardinals, while the Baltimore Ravens held on for a 24-18 home win over the Tennessee Titans after two-time MVP Lamar Jackson (ankle) missed the second half. The result builds on Unbeaten Chiefs Top Raiders 30-27 to Reach 4-0 in Las Vegas earlier in the week.
