NASHVILLE — Thomas Pannone threw a perfect game for the Milwaukee Brewers' Class AAA affiliate Nashville Sounds, completing one of baseball's rarest feats after making one appearance with Milwaukee this season.
Pannone retired all 27 batters he faced without allowing a hit, walk or hit by pitch, completing the perfect game without needing baserunners erased by double plays or caught stealing. The flawless outing required nine innings of command and clean defense behind him for Nashville.
The performance reflected consistent execution from the first inning through the ninth, as Pannone worked ahead in counts, limited hard contact and kept traffic off the bases. Perfect games demand pitch efficiency, control of the strike zone and support in the field, all of which aligned for the Sounds.
For Milwaukee, the outing adds to organizational pitching depth as the calendar moves deeper into the season. With a big league appearance already this year, Pannone remains in the mix for potential roster consideration, while Nashville secures a historic result at the Class AAA level.
