NEW YORK — The first day of the MLB postseason is in the books, and attention turns quickly to Day 2 with an identical four-game Wild Card slate. Most of Monday's openers were lopsided, with the only late drama coming in Atlanta where the Braves rallied to take the opener.

Elsewhere the results were never in doubt. The Chicago White Sox grabbed the lead in the first inning and never led by less than three runs from the middle of the second inning onward. The evening window was even more one-sided, as both the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres rolled to blowout wins while holding their opponents to just three hits apiece.

Tuesday's schedule mirrors Monday exactly, with all four series continuing on the same networks and in the same parks. Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves (Atlanta leads 1-0) opens the day at 11:00 a.m. on NBC, followed by Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros (White Sox lead 1-0) at 2:00 p.m. on Peacock. The nightcap features Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees (Yankees lead 1-0) at 5:00 p.m. on NBC and Chicago Cubs at San Diego Padres (Padres lead 1-0) at 8:00 p.m. on Peacock.

With three teams facing elimination and Houston trying to level its series, the league will be hoping for tighter contests after a dull start. The early returns in Atlanta provided the lone comeback of Day 1, following the Braves' late rally to take the opener in Atlanta, while Chicago's strong start continued the White Sox's Game 1 win in Houston.
