MEDINAH — The United States holds a narrow 3-2 lead over the Internationals heading into the second round of the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago, with five foursomes matches set for Friday, Sept. 25. The question entering Day 2 is whether continued U.S. dominance will hold or a historically close competition will unfold.
The Americans moved ahead 3-2 when four-ball action concluded Thursday, Sept. 24. Pairings featuring Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas and Wyndham Clark each secured a point for the U.S., while the Internationals proved resilient in front of a revved-up crowd sporting red, white and blue.
Friday shifts to foursomes, with teammates taking alternate shots instead of playing their own ball. Both teams made key lineup changes after Thursday. Match 1 at 2:05 p.m. ET features Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns (USA) vs. Corey Conners and Nick Taylor (International), followed by Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman (USA) vs. Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama (International) at 2:19 p.m., Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa (USA) vs. Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee (International) at 2:33 p.m., Justin Thomas and Cameron Young (USA) vs. Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout (International) at 2:47 p.m., and Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay (USA) vs. Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim (International) at 3:01 p.m.
Day 2 foursomes coverage runs 2-7 p.m. ET on Golf Channel and streams live on Fubo. The alternate-shot format will test chemistry and depth after the U.S. took a 3-2 lead following Thursday four-ball, with live scoring to follow as the matches progress at Medinah.
