Paul Chang Signs Equipment Partnership With JumboMax Golf Grips

PONTE VEDRA BEACH — Professional golfer Paul Chang has officially signed an endorsement agreement with JumboMax Golf Grips, committing to use the brand's JMX UltraLite grips throughout his upcoming PGA TOUR Americas season. The partnership marks a strategic move for the former top-ranked amateur, who has successfully made the cut in each of his first four professional tournament appearances.

The JMX UltraLite grip is engineered to be significantly lighter than standard industry options, a design intended to increase clubhead speed while maintaining control. "Paul is exactly the type of player we want representing JumboMax," said John Mazzanoble, founder and CEO of JumboMax Golf Grips. "He has an outstanding work ethic, tremendous talent and a bright future in professional golf. We're excited to be part of his journey."

Chang, who previously reached the 13th spot in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, emphasized the role of data-backed technology in his decision to partner with the brand. "I'm proud to join the JumboMax family and trust the confidence their grips give me," Chang said. "This is a brand that is committed to using data-backed innovations to help golfers perform their best, and I look forward to many successful seasons working together."

The agreement highlights a growing trend among emerging professionals who are prioritizing specific equipment ergonomics to gain a competitive edge. By focusing on grip weight and construction, Chang aims to optimize his swing tempo as he continues his transition to the professional circuit. The partnership will see Chang utilize the equipment across the remainder of the PGA TOUR Americas schedule.
