YOKOHAMA — Michael Brennan closed with six consecutive pars to win the Baycurrent Classic at Yokohama Country Club, shooting a final-round 68 on the par-71 layout to finish at 16 under par and edge Keith Mitchell (68) and Jacob Bridgeman (69) by one shot for his third PGA Tour victory.

Brennan entered the final day tied for the third-round lead with Bridgeman and Zach Bauchou and delivered down the stretch after a bogey at No. 10 with consecutive birdies at Nos. 11 and 12. "It was an unbelievable week. Japan was spectacular, the fans were amazing," Brennan said. Bridgeman made three birdies and a bogey on the back nine but missed a short birdie putt on the 17th that would have tied the lead. "[I] was able to make some putts at important times that I needed, [but] that one on 17's going to sting a little bit," Bridgeman said. Added Mitchell: "I felt like every part of my game held up except a couple putts here and there."

Veteran Adam Scott charged to three under through 10 holes to get within one of the lead before a run of bogey, bogey, double bogey from the 11th to the 13th ended his bid. Scott shot 72 to finish T-13 at 11 under. Defending champion Xander Schauffele shot 67 and sat one shot back on the 18th before a poor tee shot led to a double bogey to share fourth at 13 under. Brennan was steady throughout, hitting 15 of 15 fairways, 14 greens in regulation and taking 29 putts while parring his final six holes to secure the one-shot win.

The victory is Brennan's second this year after the Wyndham Championship in August and his third in 33 PGA Tour starts following his maiden win at the Bank of Utah Championship last year. The Wake Forest alum became the seventh player with multiple PGA Tour wins in 2026 and was projected to move inside the top 30 on the Official World Golf Ranking. Brennan entered Sunday tied at the top after a three-way tie at 13 under set up the final round at Yokohama.

"Yeah, I think it does," Brennan said when asked if winning bred winning. "I just think you can get more comfortable in those situations. I was very nervous today, especially coming down the stretch." He credited his support system for his rapid rise and celebrated with family in Japan, where his brother watched from the gallery. "It was so awesome to have my brother fly out here and be here for the weekend," Brennan said. "He's an inspiration to me and it's always just really cool to see him on the sideline when I'm walking the fairways." He added: "I have a great team behind me; great coach, great family, great coaches, trainers. I feel very comfortable and confident that I know what I'm doing is doing the right thing."
