LAS VEGAS — Don King has filed a cease and desist against TKO Group to block Saturday's cruiserweight title bout between Jai Opetaia and Noel Mikaelian, which is set to co-headline Zuffa Boxing's Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn show in Las Vegas. The legal action was reported Monday and targets the scheduled title fight on the high-profile card.

The letter states, "This firm represents Don King Productions, Inc.," and seeks to prevent the King-managed Mikaelian from appearing on the TKO-promoted event. Opetaia vs Mikaelian is slated as the co-main event beneath Garcia vs Benn, marking one of the first major cards under the Zuffa Boxing brand.

The filing introduces promotional conflict as the central issue, with King asserting authority over Mikaelian's contractual status. Such disputes have historically disrupted fight week plans, forcing promoters to seek legal clearance or replacement opponents while commissions review eligibility to compete.

For Opetaia, the bout represents a title defense opportunity on a global platform in Las Vegas, while Mikaelian would gain exposure on a marquee show. The outcome of the cease and desist will determine whether the co-headline remains intact or requires a late change before Saturday night.
