NEW YORK — Manny Pacquiao is reportedly targeting a return to the ring this December, with former world champions Danny Garcia and Amir Khan emerging as potential opponents for the boxing icon. Netflix is seeking to feature the 47-year-old on the undercard of the upcoming Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua event to bolster the card's global reach.
Pacquiao, who returned to professional boxing last year for a draw against Mario Barrios, had previously been linked to a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, though that bout was postponed due to legal issues. Recent speculation regarding a matchup against Shakur Stevenson was dismissed by Stevenson's promoter, Dana White, who stated there was no substance to those reports.
Danny Garcia, 38, holds a 38-4 record with 22 knockouts and last competed in October 2025, when he secured a fourth-round knockout victory over Daniel Gonzalez at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Amir Khan, who retired in 2022 with a 34-6 record, has consistently expressed interest in a return for a bout against the Filipino star. Khan’s final professional appearance was a sixth-round stoppage loss to Kell Brook in February 2022.
With Fury and Joshua scheduled to appear at a launch press conference tomorrow, further details regarding the undercard are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
