CARDIFF — The undercard for the highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is beginning to take shape, with promoter Eddie Hearn eyeing a potential matchup between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Dave Allen. The main event is scheduled to take place in Cardiff on December 11, backed by boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh and Netflix.

Hearn, who has represented Joshua since 2013, recently told IFL TV that he is currently evaluating options for the supporting bouts. Regarding the potential inclusion of Ruiz Jr. and Allen, Hearn stated, “What about Andy Ruiz against Dave Allen? Why not? [We could make that] easy.”

Ruiz Jr. famously defeated Joshua in 2019 to claim the unified world heavyweight titles, though he lost the subsequent rematch by unanimous decision. Since signing with Hearn earlier this year, Ruiz Jr. has suffered a defeat to Damien Knyba. Meanwhile, the Doncaster-based Allen is reportedly seeking a significant fight before concluding his professional career.

Organizers are also looking to bolster the card with American names to ensure broad global appeal. Efforts to secure Manny Pacquiao for a co-main event position are ongoing, with further updates expected in the coming weeks.
